Café Habana

One of the best neighborhoods in Manhattan is Nolita. It has great shopping and the delectable fare. As we live around the area we have grown accustomed to the local restaurants. One of our favorite spots is Café Habana at the corner of Elizabeth Street. The overcrowded quarters of the Cuban Mexican hot spot serves the best Mexican-style grilled corn. So prepare yourself for the half hour wait to get a table. Corn on the cob topped with chili powder, melted cheese and lime. I haven’t had the opportunity to try anything else there, because Thomas and I cannot move past the grilled corn for only 1.90. We will eventually try the Avocado and white cheese burrito with a pitcher of Sangria.
