So we finally have made it to fashion week and subsided to the madness of it all. Yesterday shows were packed with many people left standing without a seat as they watched the 12-15 minute show, but with the 45 minute wait. Gift bags are a rarity this season as the everyone is trying to cut corners. However, designers are certainly taking the time and thinking about alternatives ways to show their collections in a earth-friendly, economy friendly way.
Perry Ellis used a lot of micro-till cottons and wools while the color palette was serene and Hampton appropriate. John Bartlett of
Duckie Brown's usage of proliferated holes in much of his collection created a very wearable and versatile impression with an edge of provocative uncertainty.
