Perry Ellis and Duckie Brown

So we finally have made it to fashion week and subsided to the madness of it all. Yesterday shows were packed with many people left standing without a seat as they watched the 12-15 minute show, but with the 45 minute wait. Gift bags are a rarity this season as the everyone is trying to cut corners. However, designers are certainly taking the time and thinking about alternatives ways to show their collections in a earth-friendly, economy friendly way. Perry Ellis used a lot of micro-till cottons and wools while the color palette was serene and Hampton appropriate. John Bartlett of Duckie Brown's usage of proliferated holes in much of his collection created a very wearable and versatile impression with an edge of provocative uncertainty.
