N 33

The slim and narrow atmosphere of N 33 (pronounced enye, in the Spanish alphabet) matches the laid back crowd who gather there together after dark. An intimate candle lit tapas bar reflects the decor and fare of Spain, and is a perfect spot for romance. The translucent rice paper menu contemplatively lists a selection thoughtfully prepared dishes, which include thin-sliced pork loin topped with onion jam, potato tortillas with zucchini and chicken croquettes.
The location of N33 is so subtle and barley labeled on a shadowy cobble stone street that most pedestrians do not give it a second glance. However, the crowd of artists and designers from nearby studios rely on N33 for its impressive list of Sherries and the best Mojitos in the city (prepared by the Aussie Bartender.)
The weekends are claustrophobically packed, while the weekdays are for artists and their ilk, and Wednesdays? For live flamenco dancing of course. Deserving of out haute restaurant choice of the week N33 is our new secret hiding place. Especially since Alexander Wang recommends this Tapas as well.
