Preference of the Week: Bread


One of the greatest pleasures in life is one of the fattest. The complex carb that all diets sternly suggest to cut out immediately is…..bread. Of course, just as I am starting my summer starvation diet I happen to come across one of the greatest restaurants in New York appropriately named “Bread”. Oddly enough it wasn’t even the name that lured us in but the candle lit ambiance contrasting with the white brick walls and model-like crowd.The menu offers anything and everything to do with bread, Brie Tartines, Gorgonzola Dolce bread, Shrimp with arugula, avocado and salsa rosa on big ciabatta!! We discovered the Spring street restaurant about a week ago and now the staff even knows us by name.
Another beauty about this Tribeca spot (other than the models that eat there) is the pitchers of Sangria for only $24. That is three drinks shared between two people or six drinks individually. Anyway you look at it your sure to have a pretty good time. So save all your daily calorie intake for Bread!
