Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Announces Preliminary Line-Up for the Spring 2009
Collections in New York- September 5th- 12th
New York, NY (August 11, 2008) – Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York is a month
away. Producers, designers and stylists are preparing their collections to grace the most centralized fashion event worldwide. Bryant Park will take center stage in New York City and
once again become the fashion scene when the Spring 2009 collections are presented.
In anticipation of the 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz in 2009, Mercedes-Benz Fashion
Week will kick-off the week with a gala event at Saks Fifth Avenue on the evening of September
4th.
“We couldn’t be more enthusiastic about the fantastic schedule we have planned for Mercedes-
Benz Fashion Week this season,” said IMG Fashion Senior Vice President Fern Mallis. “Once
again we are showcasing both the most well-known and up and coming designers in the world.”

shows, conducting interviews, reviewing and buying collections and re-affirming the importance
and economic impact of the city’s prestigious fashion industry.
