It's always fashion week somewheres in the world

Fashion shows started in Paris, Fashion weeks started in New York and now every country around the world has volunteered a city to be the host of a some sort of fashion week. The New York Times did an article this week on newly developed fashion weeks in very unlikely places such as Kazakhstan Fashion week and Budapest Fashion week. Even my home town of Halifax, Canada is even trying their shot at a fashion week, which is a long shot.
Fashion week in New York is by far the largest of all counterparts (9 days and 264 shows!!) and as frequent as five times a year. Counting pre-fall shows, resort shows, men's Fashion week and the obvious Spring and Fall Fashion week, there is even (Pet fashion week and Fur Fashion week too.)
Dozens of cities who host Fashion Weeks are even bribing top editors with thousands of dollars, to come and watch their shows, just so they can be placed on the fashion map.
"personally, I want to become the fashion editor of National Geographic", said Simon Doonan, the creative director of Barney's New York. "When Zimbabwe has a Fashion Week, I will be there".....Actually they had one in December. At least the world is becoming a bit more fashionable.
