Maison Martin Margiela's 20th year anniversary show was not intended for the faint at heart. Margiela's S/S 09 collection was a mockery of fashion and more of a silent dark horror film. Masked faces blanked out by nylon scarves and wigs worn over the face invaded the runway in flesh tone body suits. Although the show was set out to rudely awaken the audience, one cannot help but think there was more to his show then just pure shock value. Margiela succeeded in his intentions and gave us all something to think about.
